Analysis and multi-response optimization of two dew point cooler configurations using the desirability function approach

Due to climate change and hot summers in most of Algeria’s regions, air conditioning has become a thorny issue, resulting excessive energy consumption. This research focuses on the implementation dew point evaporative coolers as an alternative conventional conditioners. The desirability function approach is used predict optimal operating parameters compare thermal performance water consumption two cooler configurations (counter flow-regenerative combined parallel–regenerative cooler) under different climatic conditions Algeria. A numerical model developed validated using literature data for regenerative systems. Parametric analysis multi- single-objective optimization simulations were performed with GenOpt simulation software, identifying influential predicting both configurations. findings suggest that channel spacing, working ratio, primary velocity are identical technologies. However, cooling capacity coefficient higher drier climates. When technologies compared at nearly equal efficiency, configuration improves by 5%, while increasing about 40%. study provides useful method assessing adapting suitable technology various climates cities.
